Lagg Production Anniversary 2020
To celebrate the one year anniversary of our production, we would like to share some of the milestones of the past year:
-
Cask No.1 was filled on the 10th April 2019.
-
Following ten years of maturation, Cask No. 1 will be exclusively bottled for members of the Lagg Cask Society.
-
-
We hosted our first Lagg Cask Society event on the 27th April, ahead of the opening of Lagg Distillery Visitor Experience to the public.
- Casks owners from far and wide travelled to the Isle of Arran for an exclusive first-look at our distillery. Just one of the benefits of joining the Lagg Cask Society.
-
Lagg Distillery opened its doors to the public for the first time on June 12th 2019.
- Since opening, we have welcomed guests from all over the world and have been delighted to hear all your stories of your connections to our Isle of Arran home.
-
At the end of June 2019, Lagg Distillery and our team took part in the first joint Arran Whisky Festival - Malt & Music.
- On the Sunday of the festival, Lagg Distillery hosted the annual 'Survivor's Lunch'. It was such a success that we are repeating the event as a part of this years' festival line up and tickets have already sold out!
-
From August to October 2019 we hosted our first series of Food Pop-up Events.
-
Ranging from Southern Soul Food, to More than a Taco from Mexico, to Italy’s Top Ten and Whisky Galore, guests to each pop-up event were treated to a menu of discovery from a recognisable gastro region of the world! Each menu was expertly crafted by Lagg Distillery Head Chef Stuart MacPherson and his team. Look out for more pop-up events running throughout 2020!
-
-
By the end of October 2019, all 700 of the casks reserved for private purchase had been filled.
-
They now sit maturing in one of our Lagg Warehouses where they will remain for the next ten years. In total over 430 of these casks have now been sold but there is still time to get involved!
-
-
Leap to Lagg Open Day took place on Saturday 29th February 2019.
- A special open day, Leap to Lagg offered the opportunity to discover more about Lagg Distillery and its connection to the southern end of the Isle of Arran.
During our first year of production, we've welcomed guests from far and wide to Lagg Distillery. We've been delighted to meet you all and introduce you to our new distillery. We hope to welcome many more people through our doors in the years to come!
Slainte!
